Product Quality Partners, Inc. is seeking entry level test engineers to work as part of a team and assist with testing on a variety of mobile/wireless, Client/Server and Digital Imaging/Multimedia products. QP is seeking sharp individuals with an isolate and eliminate mindset that can learn quickly.

  • Problem isolation and reporting to QP test engineering standards
  • Daily and weekly compilation of various written and verbal reports on the results of testing
  • Implementation/adherence to QP test process/procedures

Prerequisite: Technical proficiency and experience installing and operating PC platforms (Server installation and operation experience is a plus) and experience using Word and Excel applications required.

Requirements:

  • Experience using products of any of the following technologies: 
    • Mobile/Wireless
      • Handheld/Handset Operating Systems & applications (Palm OS, Windows CE/Pocket PC, J2ME, BREW, Symbian)

      • Wireless Protocols (Bluetooth, 802.11, WAP, SMS/MMS, Push-To-Talk, etc.)
      • Cellular networks (CDMA, GSM)

    • Client/Server
      • Configuration and setup of Windows, UNIX, and/or Linux based Clients and Servers

      • Network Protocols (TCP/IP, etc.)

      • Virtual Private Networks "VPN" (L2TP, PPTP, or IPsec based)

      • Routers configuration

    • Digital Imaging/Multimedia
      • Video Editing/Mastering Compression types (CODEC)

      • Video formats (AVI, QT, etc.)

      • Frame rates, dropped frames

      • Digital Camcorders (MiniDV); Multimedia graphic cards; A/D converters and Video Capture cards (Adaptec, Pinnacle, etc.)

  • Excellent Oral and Written Communication Skills, Detailed Oriented, Analytical, Problem Solving/Troubleshooting skills, Flexibility, Creativity, Initiative, Proactive Learner, Commitment to Task, High Work Quality Standard.
  • Ability to stay focused and work on multiple tasks throughout the day.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic service oriented environment that is ever changing based on customer schedule constraints and delivery expectations.
  • Ability to effectively communicate problem data in written format.
  • Must successfully complete QP Certified Consultant Training course.
