Palm OS® Business Solutions Program

Quality Partners, in partnership with PalmSource, Inc., is now offering the Palm OS® Business Solutions Program, a low-cost program specifically designed for professional/business applications that support a variety of handheld devices running Palm OS v4.x or v5.x.

The "Palm OS Business Solutions" logo provides assurance that Palm OS products meet compatibility, quality and usability standards for business level solutions set by PalmSource, Inc. The test suite focuses mainly on the application's interaction with the Palm OS and handheld device. All PalmSource Solution Provider software that bears the logo will also exhibit a level of reliability that will not inhibit other applications and will work on a variety of Palm OS licensed devices.

The logo is assurance that your product has passed a set of criteria as defined by PalmSource, Inc. The logo is not a Full Product Quality Assurance guarantee. Quality Partners' test engineering service is to ensure that your product meets a set of PalmSource compliance standards, and that your product's stability is adequate throughout the compliance tests.

A Program Test Kit is available for download, which provides the Palm OS Developer community with detailed information about the process that will be run when you submit your application to the program. A detailed description of all the tests to be performed is included in a separate spreadsheet document. To contribute to successful test results, we highly encourage developers to execute the tests prior to program submission.

Product Quality Partners, Inc. is an independent testing company chosen by PalmSource to execute the Palm OS Business Solutions Program. All program specifics, including processes, test design, and program design, have been approved and are enforced by PalmSource, Inc.
